Abstract
This paper represents a study on the possibilities for integration marine and air traffic data into a common geographic information system (GIS) display in the interest of better monitoring and management of transborder transport corridors. The maritime automatic identification system (AIS) technology, the automated reporting system for aviation transport (Automatic dependent surveillance – Broadcast, ADS-B) technology and the corresponded data transmition protocols are presented and analysed.
