NON-ISOTHERMAL MODEL OF LINEAR RESISTANCE IN PIPELINES PART I. THEORETICAL RESEARCH
Abstract
The article presents and discusses results obtained from a non-isothermal research and modeling of hydraulic linear pipeline resistance. Main objective of the work is to determine the linear resistance coefficients for pipelines of circular cross-section. The effect of the temperature variation is taken into account by the change in the viscosity value of the working fluid (hydraulic oil). The issue of thermal optimization of the flow regime is discussed as a way to reduce the head losses in the pipeline. Keywords
pipeline; linear resistance; flow regime; Reynolds number
